Why Use Disposition Codes?

Disposition codes serve two purposes – to define the stages of the application review process, and to allow search committees to define the reason that a candidate was rejected from consideration (or withdrew themselves from consideration).

Why are disposition codes important?

Having detailed disposition codes will allow for a more accurate count of applicant pools and will give more precise statistics when it comes to analyzing the selection decisions in an AAP. One of the most common disposition codes we see is “Better applicant selected”.
