Why Were Spangles Discontinued?

Spangles were made by Mars. They were fruit flavoured square boiled sweets - in a tube (like refreshers). They were taken off the market back in the early 1980's but they were re-introduced in the 1990's due to pupular demand.

Do they still make spangles?

Spangles, which were discontinued in the mid 80s, came out as the number one choice for nearly a fifth of those asked which sweets they would most like to make a come back.

When did spangles stop?

Spangles were discontinued in 1984, and briefly reintroduced in 1995, including in Woolworths outlets in the UK, though only four varieties were available – tangerine, lime, blackcurrant and Old English.
