Will a Resonator Stop Drone?

Drone is more common with a loud, low-frequency exhaust. ... Mufflers or resonators in track exhaust systems won't be as effective at preventing drone compared to stock. The resonator and muffler reduce exhaust drone.

Will resonators get rid of drone?

An exhaust resonator is designed to reduce the drone, buzz, or even whine of your exhaust by attaching onto your muffler. These extra parts can quiet your engine dramatically, modulating and changing the sound so it's more muted and less obvious.

Does a resonator reduce power?

While a resonator helps make the work of a muffler easier, thus improving performance and power, it also has some drawbacks. It causes restrictions to the flow of exhaust gases. In so doing, it robs the exhaust of some horsepower and torque. To gain back this horsepower, you can opt to do away with the resonator.
