Will Dripstone Fill a Cauldron?

It all comes down to having a water source. When you place a Dripstone Block down and have a water source above it, the block drips water. However, while it has the appearance of dropping water, it won't have enough to fill a cauldron or anything else.

Can dripstone fill a cauldron with lava in bedrock?

A cauldron placed below a down-facing pointed dripstone that has lava placed a block above it will slowly fill up with lava. If a cauldron is filled by lava, using glass bottles on the cauldron does nothing.

What does dripstone do in Minecraft?

Stalactites are created when a pointed dripstone is placed on the bottom of a block. These items are under 11 blocks tall, and they drip water particles when there is an absence of a liquid source. If the support block is broken, the stalactites will drop, potentially killing mobs and other players under it.
