How do you clean up spilled kerosene?
Mix 1 tsp. each of liquid dish soap and white vinegar into 2 cups of water. Wet the mixture with a sponge and dab it onto the remaining kerosene stains. Rinse the sponge, then wet it again with the soap as you continue removing the spill.
How do you get rid of spilled kerosene smell?
Flush the area with cool water to dilute the kerosene oil and rinse away as much of it as possible. Wash the area thoroughly with warm water and soap or grease-cutting detergent (dishwashing liquid soap often works well for this). Take care if the surface is delicate or water sensitive.
