Once an item has been taken from production for good, this is referred to as a 'vaulted' item. It retires with all of its friends in the mystical Funko vault. Different from just selling out, this means that they will never make it again, meaning it suddenly becomes very popular with collectors.
Do vaulted funko pops come back?
Highly doubtful an older figure will come out of the vault. Funko has said they like making new molds of older characters. If its an older tv show or movie, probably wont see pops coming back for it.
Do vaulted funko pops go up in value?
The value will never go down because it isn't like you have an option to get it cheaper. The $300 price tags are just the eBay sellers playing their hands. Then take a vaulted, but not popular, pop like Mass Effect's Grunt.
