Women’s Conference at Redeeming Word

Pastor Yvette Brinson of Redeeming Word Christian Center International will sponsor Divine Designs: Ninth annual Women’s Conference 2002 at the church today through Sunday.

Guest speakers will include Taffi Dollar of World Changers Church International, Atlanta, evangelist Laura Pickett of Pickett Outreach Ministries, Inc., Atlanta, and Cynthia Brazelton, pastor of Victory Christian Ministries International, Washington, D.C.

The conference will feature daily leadership workshops and evening family services. Child care will be provided for evening sessions.

The free conference will be held at Redeeming Word, 2800 W. Prospect Road, Fort Lauderdale. An optional Saturday luncheon will be held at noon at The Westin in Fort Lauderdale. The cost is $30. Registration is required to attend both events.

Group schedules ‘How to Negotiate’ lecture

The Working Women’s Exchange, a Christian Outreach organization for women in the workplace, is sponsoring a lecture titled “How to Negotiate Anything” by Eleanor Marschke at 7 p.m. Monday at The Marriott Resort, Coral Ridge Drive and Heron Bay Boulevard, Coral Springs.

Marschke has more than 23 years of professional sales experience and is the top sales producer for a Fortune 500 company.

Women of all denominations are welcome. Cost is $20.

Christian Skate Night features band

Galaxy Skateway and Lazarus Ministries are sponsoring a Christian Skate Night with One Spirit, a live, contemporary Christian band from 7 to 10 p.m. Aug. 20.

Skate rental is free for the event and admission is $4 per person.

Organizers invite the public to join them for a night of fun and fellowship.
