Zsuzsanna Jakabos, 34 years old, is a Hungarian swimmer who competed in seven events in the 2004, 2008, 2012, & 2016 Olympic Games, with the best achievement being sixth place in the 4X 200m freestyle relay race in 2008 and 2016.

Zsuzsanna Jakabos was born in Pecs, Baranya, Hungary. Growing up in a sport-loving family where both parents were athletes, she was naturally introduced to the sports. 

Her mother worked as a Deputy Director at a primary school, while her dad is a retired PE teacher.

Likewise, she started learning swimming when she was eight years old; however, she practiced gymnasium for a short period before this.

Luckily, her parents always supported and encouraged her to take lessons and manage her career initially. She once said, 

“I have always loved to swim in the water, yet I didn’t consciously become a swimmer.”

Following the minor success, Jakabos indulges herself more in training and practices. Finally, at 14, she won her first gold medal in European Youth Olympic Festival.

The following year, Jakabos was allowed to compete in Adult European Championship; that’s when she was sure that she enjoyed swimming and competition and set out to be a professional swimmer.

Similarly, the young swimmer graduated high school at the University of Pecs, and later, she went to Alexander Wekerle Business School in Hungary.
