The paint on aluminum-clad windows is made to last for many years and is often warrantied by the manufacturer. When the paint becomes faded or chipped, or you just want to change the color of the casings, you can paint your aluminum-clad windows.

Can you paint Andersen aluminum-clad windows?

It is not recommended to paint or apply finishes to the aluminum cladding, as it may affect the Andersen® Owner-2-Owner® Limited Warranty. Andersen does not provide painting instructions.

Can Marvin clad windows be painted?

A new Marvin window or door, whether it is primed or bare wood, must be painted immediately to prevent possible damage, even if the window or door is already primed.
