The player was born Giancarlo Cruz Michael Stanton on 8 November 1989 in Panorama City, California. In the family, he is the youngest one from parents, Michael Stanton and Jacinta Garay alongside two siblings, Egidio Carlos Moacir Garay Stanton and Kyrice Valivia.
