Trae Young is one of the best college basketball players in the country. However, many want to know about his personal life, including his parents. Trae Young's parents are Candace and Rayford Young.

Trae Young's father

Rayford is a former basketball player at Texas Tech, so basketball runs in the family. Ray averaged 14.1 points, 3.8 assists, 3.2 rebounds, and 37.9 percent from outside the arc during his time in college.

Rayford played with the Houston Rockets for less than a season after being undrafted. Following a brief stint in the NBA, Ray spent the 2001–2002 season playing for several clubs in Europe, notably FC Porto in Portugal.

The Pampa, Texas, native, who is 5 feet 11 inches tall, played four seasons for the Texas Tech Red Raiders from 1996 to 2000. He participated in 108 games while starting for three seasons. In Lubbock, he had 1,528 points and 407 assists. The older Young was a proficient 3-point shooter as well, making money at a 37.9 percent clip, foreshadowing what his son would become.

Trae Young's mother

Candice is the daughter of a minister, and she has instilled the same values in her children. High school sweethearts Candice and Ray learned that Candice was expecting a child during Ray's junior season. When Trae was a newborn, Candice reportedly stormed the field with him after Ray scored 41 points to help Texas Tech defeat Kansas in the 1998-1999 season.

Trae young's siblings are Caitlyn (17), Camryn (15), and Timothy (7). Trae's sister, Caitlyn, is a top high school volleyball player and has guided her squad to back-to-back state championships. She is also enrolling in a few college courses in Oklahoma.

Caitlyn told ESPN that neither her brother nor any of them has become spoiled by the limelight. There isn't much about Trae's other siblings, Camryn and Timothy.

Camryn tries to maintain a low profile. Compared to other celebrities, her Instagram has only 11 posts as of now. Timothy is only 7 years old, and there isn't much on him either.
