Frank Mason is an American professional basketball player who plays for SLUC Nancy Basket of the LNB Pro A. Mason, a draft pick of the 2017 NBA draft, played for NBA teams like the Kings, Bucks & Magic earlier.

Frank Leo Mason III was born on April 3, 1994, in Petersburg, Virginia, to Frank Mason Jr. and Sharon Harrison. His parents are now separated.

As reported, Mason III’s mother is married to Bernard Gregory.

On the other, his father’s current relationship status remains unknown. Not to mention that Frank Mason Jr., who also played basketball, is always there for his son.

He was raised in the housing project of Pin Oak Estates, Petersburg, Virginia, where he used to play, and got his nickname, The Phenom, from the local people.

Frank attended Petersburg High School, where he played basketball & finished his schooling with a total of 1,901 points.

This was the second-highest point in school history ever scored in total behind Moses Malone, a member of the Hall of Fame.

During his high school senior year, Frank was offered a seat to attend Towson University in Towson, Maryland, but unfortunately, he lost the opportunity after failing a government class.

He then went to Massanutten Military Academy in Woodstock, Virginia, to cover up for the government’s failing grade. Eventually, he started playing for the Amateur Athletic Union circuit.

Soon then, dedication and hard work supported him, as Kansas assistant coach Kurtis Townsend recognized his talent and passion for basketball.

He notched a scholarship offer from the University of Kansas where he was a four-year varsity basketball player.
