Who Is Protected Under Conc?

The FCA's Consumer Credit Sourcebook (CONC) applies to all credit-related regulated activities, including consumer loans, credit cards, consumer hire, credit broking, and debt-related services.

When did conc come into force?

In 2013, the FCA consulted on its proposals for the regulation of consumer credit, and the CONC sourcebook came into force on 1 April 2014.

How many credit firms does the FCA supervise?

We supervise around 58,000 firms serving retail and wholesale consumers as well as users of many of the world's largest and most significant global markets. These firms vary greatly in size, complexity and in the risks of harm they pose to consumers and market integrity.
